Friends,
We are so excited about our weekend together for the Bridge Men’s Retreat- October 14th-16th!  Thank you for taking a bit of a risk and signing up.  I’m certain some of you are thrilled to be with everyone, and others are a bit concerned about a weekend around people all the time!

Let me encourage and ease your minds, we have over 100 acres to fish, hike, be alone, or dominate someone in some ultimate frisbee, pickle ball, or cornhole!  Our goal is to create a space that invites some deeper relationships with other men, and some time to be with the Lord without the distractions of our daily lives.  We will hear stories and share stories that I’m confident will leave us feeling known.
Here are a few details as you begin to make plans:

Where is Knott Creek Falls?
  •  2931 Fiedler Rd, Harper, TX 78631
What time should I arrive?
  • Registration will be between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.  We will have our first gathering shortly after 7:00
  • Plan on having eaten dinner Friday night before you arrive.  We will have food throughout the evening, but it will not be dinner

What should I bring?
  • Some kind of bedding (Sheets, sleeping bag, pillow, etc…)
  • Towel
  • Toiletries
  • Bible
  • Notebook
  • Fishing gear
  • Swimsuit
  • If you want to bring a foldable camping chair, we will have camp fires throughout the weekend, so that would be nice to sit on.

When will we finish?
  • We will be departing around 11:00 ish on Sunday morning (could I be more non committal on that time!!!)

Food Allergies?

    • If you have any type of food allergy, please let us know so that we can let the chef know.

Speaking of the chef, Chris Schoenfeld from Showy The Cook will be cooking for us all weekend.  He is starting to do more things like this where he cooks for groups.  Look him up on instagram @showythecook.
I think those are the important details.  I know some of you have asked about riding together, I love that idea!  If you need help getting out there, I’m certain we can find you a ride.
My dad always said “Son, you can have a bad meeting, but don’t ever have bad food!”  Let me assure you, that lesson did not go over my head…
 Looking forward to it!
