serve on a team

make a spiritual difference in the life of someone else.

What does serving look like at The Bridge?

Play a part in someone else meeting Jesus.

At Bridge, nothing happens without our people — we're a mobile church, and every role matters. Every Sunday, someone walks through our doors for the first time, or comes back after a really hard week. When you serve, you're making it possible for someone to encounter Jesus. That's the kind of impact that lasts.

Every other week. One service. That's it.

For most of our teams, you'll be placed on Team 1 or Team 2 — which means you're only serving every other Sunday, for one service. It's designed to be sustainable, so you can show up fully every time. Some roles have flexible or varied scheduling, and we'll walk you through what that looks like when we connect.

Choose a time that works for you

Whether you're an early bird or prefer to serve after the service, there's a spot for you. We have family-friendly roles, people-facing opportunities, and behind-the-scenes options — whatever your schedule, season of life, or comfort level.

Getting started is simple.

Fill out the form below and someone from our team will reach out to get you connected. You'll meet your team lead, get any training you need, and find your place. No experience necessary — just a willing heart.

Places to Serve

Set Up / Tear Down
Bridge Fellowship is a mobile church, which means every Sunday starts and ends with a team.
  • Set Up volunteers arrive early to transform a space into a place of worship — arranging chairs, setting up signage, and getting everything ready before the first car pulls in.
  • Tear Down volunteers close out the morning by breaking it all back down. It's physical, it's practical, and it matters more than you might think.

Commitment: Every other week | 6:30–7:45a (Set Up) or 12:00–1:00p (Tear Down)
First Impressions
First Impressions volunteers are the first faces people see on a Sunday — and that moment matters. This team sets the tone through warmth, intentional hospitality, and genuine connection, creating an environment where every person feels seen and welcomed before they ever take a seat.

Commitment: Every other week | 9 AM or 11 AM service
Production
Run the technology that makes Sunday happen — sound, graphics, ProPresenter, video, or live stream. Production volunteers are detail-oriented, comfortable learning new tools, and don't mind being behind the scenes. Training is available for the right person.

Commitment: Varies 1–4 Sundays per month based on scheduling
Worship Team
Use your musical gifts to lead the congregation in worship on Sundays. Whether you sing or play an instrument, the Worship Team is looking for people who are skilled, coachable, and passionate about creating space for others to encounter God — not just perform.

Commitment: Varies 1–3 Sundays per month based on scheduling + Rehearsal
Bridge Barista Team
Help us keep coffee ready by brewing consistently and following simple, repeatable processes before and during services. This role is focused on staying attentive, having attention to detail, and ensuring coffee is always fresh and available for guests.

Commitment: Every other week | Before and during each service
Missions
Bridge Fellowship is committed to caring for our neighbors — locally and beyond. Our missions partners give you a way to put that commitment into action.

Opportunities include:

Bridge of Hope
Bridge of Hope connects our church to neighbors in genuine need. Volunteers come alongside people facing hardship — offering practical help, consistent presence, and the kind of care that goes beyond a one-time act of service.

Vault Fostering Community
Vault supports foster and adoptive families in our community with resources, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. Volunteer opportunities are available seasonally through drives and partnership initiatives.

Foster Care Ministry/South Texas Alliance for Orphans
Through our partnership with South Texas Alliance for Orphans, we're building a community within Bridge that wraps around foster and adoptive families. Volunteer opportunities grow as that community grows — and there's more coming soon on how you can be part of it.

Commitment: Varies by opportunity
Community Group Leaders
Community Group Leaders open their homes and their lives to a small group of people doing life together — sharing a meal, discussing Scripture, praying, and building the kind of friendships that go beyond Sunday morning. If you have a heart for people and a willingness to create space for community to happen, the rest can be figured out along the way.

Commitment: Weekly or biweekly | Flexible scheduling
Bridge Kids
Bridge Kids volunteers invest in the spiritual lives of children every Sunday — creating environments where kids feel safe, known, and excited about Jesus. Roles include:

Nursery (0–24 months)
Care for babies and toddlers while their parents experience Sunday morning. No experience required — just patience and a soft spot for little ones.

Small Group Leader
Lead kids through discussion, activities, and prayer. You don't have to be a teacher — you just have to show up consistently. Kids remember the adults who were there for them.

Substitute
Serve when you're available, no recurring commitment. We'll reach out when there's a need.

Admin Team
The behind-the-scenes engine of Bridge Kids. Prep crafts, organize supplies, and handle the behind-the-scenes details that keep Bridge Kids running. Great fit if you're organized and prefer serving out of the spotlight.

Commitment:
Sunday Volunteers: Every other week | 9 AM or 11 AM service.
Substitutes: Flexible
Admin Team: Every other Tuesday Morning.
Student Ministry
Walk alongside middle and high school students during one of the most formative seasons of their lives. Student Ministry volunteers show up consistently, build real relationships, and create a space where students feel genuinely known. You don't have to have it all figured out — you just have to be willing to show up.

Commitment: Weekly | Wednesday nights + occasional events
Prayer Team
Be available after the service to pray with anyone who needs it. Prayer Team volunteers are approachable, spiritually grounded, and willing to sit with someone in a moment that matters. If you believe in the power of prayer and want to put that belief into practice on Sunday mornings, this team is for you.

Commitment: Every other week | Following 9 AM or 11 AM service + Prayer meeting between services.
Baptism Team
Baptism Sundays are some of the most meaningful mornings we have. Baptism Team volunteers help support the logistics of the day — preparing the space, assisting participants, and making sure everything runs smoothly so the moment can be fully celebrated.

Commitment: Monthly
Safety & Medical Team
The Safety & Medical Team help create a peaceful, safe environment where people can focus on worship without distraction. Volunteers on this team serve as a calm, discreet presence — observing, assisting, and caring for our church family when needed, whether that's a safety concern, a medical situation, or helping someone with mobility. Paid, uniformed officers are on-site for law enforcement matters; this team's role is simply to support and care for the people around us.

Commitment: Every other week | 9 AM or 11 AM service
Creative Team
If photography or videography is more than a hobby for you — this is a way to put those skills to work for something that matters. Creative Team volunteers help capture the life of Bridge Fellowship through photo and video, giving their craft a purpose beyond the professional.
Commitment: Flexible | As needed for Sundays and events
Starting Point Team
Starting Point is our gathering for newcomers, and this team makes it feel like a warm welcome from the moment people walk in. Volunteers serve as hosts — greeting guests, facilitating conversation around the dinner table, and creating an environment where someone new to Bridge feels like they already belong. If you love meeting new people and have a story of your own about finding your place here, this is a natural fit.

Commitment: One event every 6–8 weeks
